On these recordings you will hear superb renditions of 20 top sounds performed in the style of the original artists. Released on the now legendary AVENUE RECORDINGS/STEREO PLUS 3 label.
A PERSONAL NOTE: The year 1973 was somewhat known as the 'desperate years' for AVENUE RECORDINGS. What mind could possibly compile an album of hits by SLADE, ROD STEWART and then include songs made famous by GILBERT O'SULLIVAN?? The tracks were just thrown together from tracks that had previously been issued by AVENUE and were put together to make a low cost album for the STEREO PLUS 3 range. This label had but a short life span, as very little worth recording was ever released under its logo. This album Catalogue Number is STR015 they never made the big 20, but all said and done, there are some very reasonable covers on this album and is somewhat rare to find this 12" record in UNPLAYED, MINT condition.

This extremely fine edition has been stored for more than 45 years in my personal vinyl library. It has NEVER BEEN PLAYED since it was originally issued in 1973. The actual vinyl is in EX/MINT condition. Please see photo of sleeve front to evaluate its condition.
