Description
This is a Near Mint White Label Promo of Sisters Love with their single "Now is the Time" b/w "Blackbird" on A & M 1178. The B-side is an excellent funk cover of The Beatles (Paul McCartney) song. Both sides play near mint. This is from my personal collection. An excellent 45. "Now is the Time" was sung by Sisters Love in the blaxploitation film The Mack. Merry Clayton was a member of Ray Charles backing vocalists, The Raelettes. She is probably best known for her backing vocals on The Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter" and also backing vocals on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. She and the late Odia Coates were members of Sisters Love. Odia is best known for singing duets with Paul Anka in the seventies, most notably "Having My Baby" and "One Man Woman."
