PAYMENTS

PROCESS: After auction completion, eBay will send the buyer a draft invoice based on the transactions' parameters. If this is a simple one item invoice the buyer can initiate payment off of that invoice. If there are multiple items and an invoice reflecting combined shipping is necessary then the seller will initiate that invoice. After the first item win, if you are planning on purchasing more then let me know so that I do NOT send out invoices that will need to be voided. The sellers final invoice will reflect at least two shipping options from which the seller will choiose the one that they desire. NOTE: I ALWAYS initiate invoices where combined purchases are applicable. I will NEVER charge for two separate postages if I catch multiple transactions. It is always advantageous to let me know when those situations exist. I will try to save you all that you can so if there is ever a question in your mind about the rate, just ask me and I will check the shipping parameters in eBay to determine if there is any error which occassionally does happen.

SHIPPING METHOD: Invoice will reflect at least two options of shipping methods, please select one and initiate payment based on that one.

HOW?: PayPal is the required payment method as it results in a more streamlined and expedited process for both the buyer and the seller

WHEN?: As I committ to ship your item within 24 hours of receiving payment (as noted in my listing) it would be greatly appreciated if the seller could recipricate by completing payment with 24 hours of winning the auction. This help alleviate backlog build-up which can subsequently result in delayed shipping. PLEASE be considerate of this request. The exception: If you are planning on bidding on additional items, after you have alreay won one auction then you may wait for the completion of the other auctions so that you receive a combined items invoice. If that is the case, then please just notify me and make sure that I am aware.

SHIPPING & HANDLING FEES DISCLOSURE

DOMESTIC: Domestic Shipping & Handling (S&H) Fees total ($1.45). This fee is strictly a cost reimbursement as there is absolutely NO Profit NOR any labor is included in this fee. For the sake of absolute full, and fair, disclosure, this fee will cover the actual cost of protective packaging (specialized LP mailers - $.95, poly sleeves - $.22, delivery confirmation and an estimated $,09 for printer supplies for labels (ink & paper), heavy duty packing tape, etc. My intention is not to make any profit on shipping but at least recover my expenses to get the product to the customer. INTERNATIONAL: International Shipping & Handling Fees total ($2.90) which consist of the above items plus the extra time that is always present shipping International packages such as the extra trip to the post office, validating international shipping for buyer and completing the required customs forms.

POSTAGE CALCULATION

I use the eBay/USPS Postage Calculator Tool in order to determine postage amounts. This tool calculates postage amounts based upon the shipments' destination, shipping type, weightand (S&H) fees.

Postage types forDomestic shipments will be is the decision of the buyer. Popular types are "Media Mail" (for lower cost) and "Priority Mail" (for quicker and more dependable delivery) INTERNATIONAL: Postage types for International shipments will be the decision of the buyer and will be either First Class International(less expensive) or International Priority (quicker and more dependable.

DELIVERY

International shipments are much more difficult to track than domestic shipments and inevitably take longer to deliver. This being the case PLEASE be patient in waiting for the merchandise delivery as it could take a month (I've seen it many times).

POSTAGE SAVINGS

Buyers can always save on shipping costs by combining mulitiple auction wins which results in lower postage and eliminates the need for multiple LP mailers.

RETURNS

Buyer will have a fourteen (14) day window of opportunity to return purchases The only qualifier is that the reason is Objective Vs.Subjective. As all vinyl collectors, and enthusiasts, are well aware, "grading" is extremely "SUBJECTIVE" and in the end is simply just one man's opinion. A difference of opinion on a vinyl's, or covers', "PROPER" or "CORRECT" grade is something that will exist. That being said, grading alone will NOT be grounds for a refund. I attempt to grade each record as very best that I can with an objective of creating buyers satisfaction. anyone as those that do so will find that action coming around to them. My feedback pretty much supports that philosophy in regards to the accurate grading. On the other hand, if there is an "OBJECTIVE" reason for returning the merchandise I will gladly accept their return. For example, a record that is listed as "Still Sealed" arrives opened, a record is advertised as a original release and turns out to be a reissue, a record is listed as a US release and turns out to be an import) then these are clearly objective reasons to return, which I will gladly accept. Merchandise that is damaged in transit should first be addressed between the buyer and the local postal delivery service.

GRADING PROCESS

Grading Scale: I use "Goldmine" which is the standard that collectors use to buy and sell. See below for grading definitions and explanations. Method (Visual Vs.Sound): Visual, primarily due to time constraints and the volume (thousands) of records that we are dealing with. I use a bright 150W light bulb and I also grade conservatively and doing so for over thirty years. In order to ensure that buyers are happy.

RECORD GRADING SCALE DETAIL

1 MINT (M): Sealed. This is the Holy Grail stage of the vinyl which can not, should not, be used on an opened item. NEAR MINT (NM): A NM record “looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the very first time.” In other words, it’s nearly perfect. They are shiny w/ NO visible defects. There can be NO writing, stickers, markings, etc either on the jacket, label or vinyl. NM records do not have to be "unlayed" asa record used on an excellent turntable can remain NM after many plays if the disc is properly cared for properly. NM covers are free of creases, ring wear & splits. VERY GOOD PLUS-PLUS (VG++): Used when an item appears to be extremely close to Near Mint (e.g. blemishes and minimal marks exist that are practically unnoticeable to the naked eye). As I grade conservatively, I can't give this a Near Mint even though the flaws might go unnoticed to others so the resultant grade is VG++ VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)/EXCELLENT (EX): These two grades are synonomous with each other and are listed as such in the Goldmine Pricing Catalog. A "VG+ record may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do NOT affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, also. There may be some very faint signs of ring wear or vinyl discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. VG+ covers should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Covers with cut-out markings can NEVER be considered Near Mint. VERY GOOD (VG): records may have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record may have surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise. Minor writing, tape or a sticker can detract from the label. Many collectors who have jukeboxes will use VG records in them and not think twice. They remain a fine listening experience, just not the same as if it were inbetter shape. VG covers will have many signs of human handling. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the edge of a record would reside, is obvious, though not overwhelming. Some more creases might be visible. Seam splitting will be more obvious; it may appear on all three sides, though it won’t be obvious upon looking. Someone might have written or it or stamped a price tag on it, too

GOOD (G), POOR (P) or FAIR (F): I do not plan on selling any records that fall into these cagtegories although in the future I may auction off collectible LP's that fall into these grades but will do so with full disclosure and low opening bid amounts. I will NOT try to pawn off these collectibles as being in very good condition.
