SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK - ‘Flaunt It’     LP     UK    1986     Parlophone  PCSS7305

Limited edition box set edition with the plastic tray and 12 page booklet.  

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on an original Technics 1210 MK2 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 1.8g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

Playing condition ranges from VG to EX+, with vast majority of the album playing toward the higher grade.     Plays with occasional audible crackle on some intros/quietest sections.   Overall, NO distortion  NO jumps  NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl is graded as  EX-/VG+.   5 or 6 noticeable surface-only marks/light scuffs.   Vinyl still retains its original sheen. 

Labels are EX+.   Very few and faint spindle marks.   All text perfectly readable.   NO writing  NO stickers.

These boxes were notoriously flimsy (no expense spared, EMI), always an excessively tight fit and the corners of the lid would easily split.  This one is no exception with 3 of the lid corners split, but 2 have been repaired/reinforced with card on the inside, rather than unsightly tape in the outside (SEE PHOTOS).  One of the lid corners is left split so that it can still be fitted onto the box base.   Couple of other noticeable tears in places and several noticeable creases.  Please see photos for good overall look at box condition. 

Booklet in NrMINT condition.  Very minor crumples.   No loose or missing pages.   No rips/tears.  No writing.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
