THE STANLEY BROTHERS
I purchased a large amount of bluegrass items from the daughter of someone who played bluegrass music in central Ohio throughout the 1960's and 1970's. These 2 items were part of the lot.
Included is a Promotional KING RECORDS publicity photo of the The Stanley Brothers. 12-1/2 x 10-1/2 Wooden frame
The 45 is "Don't Cheat In Our Hometown" b/w "I See Through You" - the 45 is in an authentic KING RECORDS sleeve.
I cannot authenticate the signatures on the 45. It almost appears to me that they both say Ralph Stanley. Almost like someone (perhaps Ralph) thought 1 signature was too sloppy so they wrote another. I do not see CARTER. Again, I was not there for this signature.
Inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 1992
