*SIGNED* Pink Floyd – Dark Side Of The Moon Unique Presentation w/CoA

My Dad has asked me to sell this on his behalf. He bought it at a charity auction in 2003. It is a unique presentation signed album of Pink Floyd’s revolutionary The Dark Side Of The Moon. As you can see from the pictures, it comes in a luxurious presentation case with commemorative gold plaque. The record sleeve has been signed by all four of the legendary 1968 – 1981 members; Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and David Gilmour. All four members signed in permanent gold marker which looks stunning on the black background of the record sleeve. One of the members (not sure which?) also penned their take of the Pink Floyd logo on the front, which adds a nice distinctive touch to this collectors piece! Below the plaque is the record itself. There is also a hanging clip already installed on the reverse.

Please note that this auction has a reserve price of £600.00, which is just a fraction of what it was bought for!

The record itself is the original 1973 release by Capitol Records, catalogue number SMAS-11163. It is not any reissue, it is one of the original records from the first issue.

It goes without saying that this comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, issued by renowned authentication company, Our Price Ltd. Matching security seals are present on the CoA and on the back of the presentation case. A photograph is included below.

The item is in excellent condition; it has hung on our hallway wall since 2003 and is in the exact same condition it was on the date of purchase. The record itself has a couple of very faint wear marks around the edges but this is barely noticeable. The plaque is in mint unblemished condition, and the vinyl record itself looks excellent to me too. The presentation case is in fantastic shape, there are no scratches or marks anywhere on it. The Certificate of Authenticity is also in mint shape, there are no creases, stains or tears on it anywhere.

It weighs about 4.6kg and is about 96cm x 55cm. It will have to be sent by Parcelforce as it is oversized for delivery by Royal Mail. Parcelforce 48 is quite reasonably priced at £14.99, although unfortunately this only insures the item for up to £150; to insure to its full value will cost an additional £22.00 so we’re looking at £36.99 for UK delivery by Parcelforce 48. This is a guaranteed 2-day service to most UK addresses. There is also Parcelforce 24 which will cost you an extra £7.00, so £43.99 in total. This is a 1-day service. Please bear in mind that these quotes are not final, they are just estimates on the cost of postage. The postage costs may seem quite expensive (mostly due to the cost of additional insurance), but if the item does get lost, damaged or delayed during transit, then at least we both have the peace of mind of knowing that we will get our money back.

I can ship to overseas bidders but be warned that shipping will be substantial due to the excessive weight and value of the piece. It would have to go by Parcelforce which can cost anywhere from £55 up to £120 or so, depending on where you live.
