Description

This is a very rare Signed copy of Phil Ochs debut LP and is a very first pressing.

Ochs is starting to make his way back into public attention following the recent release of the John Lennon ' Power To The People' Box Set, which features several Lennon and Ochs unreleased demo recordings. Lennon could have recorded with anyone at this time. He chose Ochs.

Sleeve

Overall the sleeve is incredibly solid with no seam splits and the spine is intact and fully readable, just some light corner bumps and the beginning of some foxing, as seen with pretty much all US records from this era. But this should not spread now the sleeve has been cleaned and is in a new poly protective outer sleeve.

Inner Sleeve

Brand new anti-static sleeve (the original inner sleeve will also be included).

Labels

No spindle wear, no writing, no sticker residue. Absolutely lovely.

Vinyl

The Vinyl retains a great sheen and gloss (please see photos). There are a few light hairlines and feint cosmetic marks from storage or sleeve removal but nothing unsightly. There is one noticeable mark across Track 1 (See details below) But overall this is a very clean LP.

Audio Quality

The audio is bright and clear, it's a very loud pressing that packs plenty of punch. There are a few tics in the silent passages between songs but nothing drastic. There is one repetitive tic on the title song which his stops just before track 2. The record plays through with no jumps, no sticking, and no significant noise during the tracks. 

I have included a lo-fi recording of the quietest passages of this album for you to listen to (links provided below). Please note, this recording has been made on a mobile phone and is a .mp3 file — not a direct source from the master tapes mixed at Abbey Road as the hum from my stereo will prove!!

Packaging And Shipping

All of my records are dutifully cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S3 and will be shipped in a new anti-static inner and poly outer in a vinyl mailer. Records with picture sleeves will be separated to avoid seam splits during transit. 

I only post tracked parcels and will happily combine postage. International postage is handled by eBay directly, so please see their postage quote for your location.
