Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. Sought after ... and here's the highly collectible 1968 original top collectible = heavy fuzz psych jammer by the West Coast stoned crew SAVAGE RESURRECTION ....
Produced by Abe Voco Kesh who was responsible for that explosive sound on the first Blue Cheer album
Original 1968 first pressing of the "San Francisco Sound" and WAY more HEAVY-ROCK in feel than that of the average Bay Area psychedelic band. Sometimes it's HARD blues-rocking with poweful riffing, as on the accurately titled "Jammin'." In contrast it also contains the spacier, folkier, and more melodic feel that was characteristic of much '60s Californian psychedelic music, as on "Someone's Changing." More dissonant and Middle Eastern influences make themselves known on "Every Little Song" and "Tahitian Melody," and the backup vocals on "Remlap's Cave, Pt. 2" indicate that they did their share of listening to the Who's "A Quick One, While He's Away." Randy Hammon and John Palmer create an intense and thick dual-guitar sound throughout (separated so that Hammon's playing is on the left channel, and Palmer's on the right).
The Savage Resurrection were all about a Jimi Hendrix meets Blue Cheer obsession. The members were from two West Coast local groups, "Button Willow" and "Whatever's Right."
Surely one of the greatest heavy Psych (and Garage) sounds ever recorded in San Francisco's 1960s. Based on the R&B manner, brilliant twin guitar sounds spark, while experimental echoes and sound effects runs to and fro. Guitarists Randy Hammon & John Palmer's performances throughout the recording are highly regarded, and the album as a whole has influenced a generation of psychedelic enthusiasts. Amazing acid-rock.
The band was formed in 1967 in San Francisco, in the midst of the Summer Of Love. They signed to Mercury Label and released this Album in 1968, produced by Abe "Voco" Kesh, who had already worked with Blue Cheer (The guitarist, Randy Hammon is the cousin of Paul Whaley, from Blue Cheer). Shortly after the release the bassist and the vocalist left the band, but even after that they still managed to do a small tour in the Midwest of America, with replacement musicians. All said, original copies of this 1968 album now change hands for hallucinogenic prices. Their self-confessed Hendrix obsession is immediately obvious. First track, Thing In E, is a speeded up version of Jimi's first album, first track, Foxy Lady. Throughout one hears similarly loud echoes. Arthur Lee's Love obviously motivated the intricate structure and well-executed tempo switches of 'Someone's Changin', and Country Joe is conjured up by the good-humoured, hippy-funk of "Fox Is Sick."
The Savage Resurrection:
= Bill Harper - Vocals.
- Randy Hammon - Lead Guitar.
- John Palmer - Guitar.
- Steve Lage - Bass.
- Jeff Myer - Drums.
