Description
SHRINK Black Sabbath MASTER OF REALITY Green 1st U.S. pressing
on green Warner Bros. labels. Embossed cover in original shrink wrap with breath holes.
POSTER included, never hung and in excellent condition!!!
I am unsure of the pressing plant, do not see a "T" , "P", or "T" in runouts, just the Artisan logo.
Error on labels with "Masters of Reality" instead of "Master of Reality" on labels. This indicates a first pressing as subsequent pressings corrected this error.
Track A2 appears as "After Forever (Including The Elegy)" on side A label, and is incorrectly credited to "Ioomi-Ward-Osbourne-Butler".
Though program content is the same as other US pressings, center labels show 5 tracks on side A, and 6 on side B.
All subsequent US pressings show 4 tracks per side. Most correct the album title, with "After Forever" as A2, credited to "Iommi".
VINYL in VG++ barely played, beautiful surface and clean except for small area in middle of "Lord of This World" smudge that looks like someone tried to clean it (see photos). I heard a very faint swoosh a few times when I listened carefully for it, barely noticeable, happens during heavy parts, but brings the grading from Near Mint to VG++. Labels clean!!!
COVER VG++ in original shrink wrap, seams and spine solid, some corer bumps, shrink loose a bit at opening bottom about 1", some minor wear at opening edge, old sticker residue on shrink on front cover, beautiful!!!
POSTER in VG++ with tiny bit of rubbing on corner (see photos), looks to have been left in cover without opening, crisp edges, solid corner, lovely!!!
Notes:
US first pressing variant with embossed cover. 4-panel fold-out poster insert included with at least some copies.
Green WB shield center labels display incorrect album title "Masters Of Reality" and revised/transitional tracklisting (4 per side). Track A2 appears as "After Forever (Including The Elegy)" on side A label, and is incorrectly credited to "Ioomi-Ward-Osbourne-Butler".
Catalog number "BS 2562" appears on back cover and center labels. "2562" appears on front cover only.
Center label rim text:
