Description
Trans-World Records T-6908: Otis Redding's First Record
Okay - got to explain a couple of things...
CONDITION:
The record has quite a bit of surface markings, but both sides play through, no skips, no big pops, and it sounds really good.
OTIS'S ROLE:
Although the A-Side reads "Featuring OTIS" (which it does - he sings lead) and the B-Side reads "Featuring JACKIE" (Jackie McEachin), "Tuff Enuff" is really a duet! Otis can be clearly heard singing with Jackie in the style of, say, Sam & Dave or The Righteous Brothers. So, even if you have the A-Side on the "Definitive" box set, if you're going for a complete collection, you'll still need this B-Side.
So, whether or not you're looking to complete your Otis collection or just want an original copy this 45, this is a good opportunity to get a decent copy of a really rare, expensive record at what should turn out to be a reasonable price, especially if you can't afford to buy or bid on the mint copies which turn up occasionally...
