Original Harvest UK pressing LP from 1970

 

A rare and highly collectable English folk album from the original owner.

 

Side 1 - SHVL 771 A1

Side 2 - SHVL 771 B1

 

Following  Anthems in Eden, Love, Death and the Lady has a darker tone, possibly influenced by Shirley Collins’ personal situation at the time.

 

Arrangement by Dolly Collins with accompaniment from distinguished folk musicians and period instruments.

 

The album was chosen as "Folk Album of the Month" by Melody Maker, and was short-listed for album of the year.

 

Bought new by me in 1970 this LP has had very little use and has certainly not been played for at least 25 years. It is in superb condition.

 

Cover –gatefold, slight scuffing on opening edges and corners but otherwise unmarked, spine in very good condition with no damage.

 

Inner sleeve - original polylined inner fully intact with no marks, wear or splits.

 

Vinyl – scratch / scuff free and no visible signs of damage. Both sides have been played prior to listing and no imperfections were noticed.

 

Labels – clean and unmarked.
