Beautiful copy of the rare 1961 original stereo pressing of Shelby Flint’s self-titled LP on Valiant WS-401. One of the earliest folkish female singer-songwriters of the era, a huge influence on Joni Mitchell and other later singers. Delicately soft and quiet magic all the way through this classic. And it is a pleasure to hear it all on such a clean original stereo copy. As you probably know, the music on this record is quite soft, and any popping or crackling on the disc can be very distracting. This copy is in simply beautiful condition, with no pops or crackles to be heard at all. A few very light superficial scuffs but they don’t affect the play in the least. Really a beautiful playing copy, and in the rare stereo version, which sounds incredible. The cover is also in very nice shape with only a light bit of ringwear and some minor edge fraying at the bottom. Otherwise remarkably clean and crisp. A beautiful copy of this rare classic. Almost impossible to beat.
