Trans-Canada TC-775, 1970 original issue / 1st pressing (Canada)

Not a re-issue or bootleg, this is a suberb Trans-Canada original, still in full shrink wrap, with no cut-outs or outward damage.   The vinyl is not quite perfect, but it's close....only some very light hairlines and a couple of very light superficial sleeve scuffs.    The bright-coloured red-white-blue labels are nearly flawless, and the hand-etched matrix numbers in the run-off are all correct.      Beauties of this rarity just don't show up often !

Power trio 'raawkk', Canadian style !

Wow !  There's a lot of power in this band, especially in the loud, up front drums (much heavier than their 2nd and last LP, "The End of My Life", released the following year).     With titles like "I Had To Rape Her", you just know these guys are gonna rock.     Highlights like "Come, Wake Up,"   "Love Is a Game" and especially "Not Yet" offer a major hard rock punch with droplets of MC5/Stooges energy here and there.

Yet overall, this is raw mean-and-lean heavy psych-blues-rock with a progressive vibe à la very early Black Sabbath and Budgie.

All originals, composed by the trio and sung in English.
