Original EMI Australian paper sleeve
GRADING:
Paper Sleeve: EX, splits on spine/seams, opening a lil' tatty, light blemishes, otherwise in great condition.
Record: EX, light occasional circular track marks on side two.

The classic 45 that started the punk revolution back at the end of 1976 from UK pioneers The Sex Pistols. Their debut 45 - Anarchy in the UK was only briefly available in Australia prior to being withdrawn suddenly by EMI after the company dropped the group from it's roster, although there was a sudden rush of collectors down to their record stores early in 1977 when the impending withdrawal was announced by local music legend Ian "Molly" Meldrum during his segment on the local "Countdown" music show, which everybody in Australia watched as a matter of necessity without fail back then. Some music fans scored a copy from their local record shop, some did not, as many shops had already sent their stock back to EMI Australia for destruction (recycling)
There are two variations of this standard EMI pressing - the Usual White/Red EMI label and this unusual black & white label variation.
This is a seriously rare, collectable item.

Grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
