Severed Heads' decapitation count is larger than Henry VIII's, Cuisine (With Piscatorial) being the Australian group's ninth guillotining in LP-length coldwave sound, from 1991. Now with its first-ever vinyl pressing on Dark Entries following Rotund For Success, its inspiration lay in anti-music-consumerist sentiment: "people have records like they have cups of coffee", Tom Ellard is known to have once said. Where drawly 80s voice meets guerrilla jank and IBM, it's packed full of shearing-cold synths, gothic mallet outgrowths and comparatively faint vocals, best cases in point being 'Estrogen', 'King Of The Sea' and 'Twister'. Most tracks running at a demented pace, like car-chase music for a cursed William Friedkin film.
