Respectfully offered for your consideration is this 10” record that was originally included in the fully licensed, Columbia Records release, Robert Johnson - The Centennial Set - issued to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of his birth. As I’m sure you’re aware these records were pressed using the absolute highest end components available and feature reproduced labels identical to the original releases. Only 1000 copies of each of the 12 different records (that were included in the original set) were produced and are now long out of production.

Concerning the quality of these disc, there have been volumes written explaining the process that was used to bring these legendary recordings to a standard that had never been realized in the past.

I will be listing just the vinyl from this set offering them as individual pressings that mirror the original, legendary 78s right down to the original size and iconic labels. The main difference, in regards to this release, is that these high end reproductions play at 45rpm instead of the original 78rpm. There was evidently much debate concerning this decision, at the time, but personally I do understand the reasoning as it does allow for a much more universal playback and also does keep those original pressings unique (as they most certainly should be).

If you’ve been unable to come across an original Robert Johnson 78, to this point, here’s the next best thing as these pressings have become very sought after in their own right. In regards to sound, they play beautifully. All the pressings I’m listing from THIS SET BREAK are stone cold mint having not been played at all. Please do observe the provided photos for your condition concerns as the pictured record is the pressing you will receive.
