Description
This is a rare stereo U.S. white label promo copy of the third LP by the Seeds, released in 1967. With this LP, the group fully embraces psychedelia. Songs like "March of the Flower Children," "Travel with Your Mind," and "Six Dreams" wear their countercultural hearts on their sleeves, and some of the songs are augmented by the orchestral colorings of harp and woodwinds, sitar, and/or a trippy jugband. Notable among these latter tracks are "Two Fingers Pointing on You," which the group performs in the early Jack Nicholson period piece Psych Out, and the extended album closer "Fallin'," which pairs eerie harp flourishes with Sky Saxon's goofy sneering vocals for a truly unique listening experience. Other songs on the record showcase the group's earlier punk sound, in particular the straightforward rocker "Out of the Question." The gatefold jacket has a former owner's name written in pen on the back cover (see photo), light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear, and light sticker residue on the front cover -- EX(-). The disc has some hairline scratches and scrapes, scuffing, and loss of glossiness, and plays with moderate surface noise (audible mostly in quieter passages and between tracks) and occasional popping, but no skips -- VG(-). The record comes with the three inserts, one of which has a small tear, one of which has some creasing, and all of which have some light rippling (see photos).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
