Description
This is the 1980 album 'Behind Closed Doors' by Secret Affair on I-Spy Records - I SPY 2.
It is an A1/B1 pressing and a record company promo as it comes with the Press Release about the band and the fact that had just signed to Arista. The inner sleeve is hand-signed by Ian Page and David Cairns of the band.
The cover and inner sleeve are both in very good / excellent condition, but the inner does have a couple of small marks just under the signatures (please see images).
The vinyl I would rate as very good (or even excellent) as there are no visible marks or scratches and no spindle marks on the label. Therefore I suspect it may perhaps never have been played. The matrix marks are 'A1/B1'.
Please note that I am not a dealer or a record collector. The items I am selling are all from the extensive collection of my late brother, John Shaw.
He was a great music enthusiast, working for both BBC and commercial radio stations in the East Midlands from 1980 until 2013 presenting various music shows, mostly folk and rock.
During this period he interviewed many bands and artists in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and usually had them sign copies of the albums they were promoting at the time. He was also sent many promotional, DJ-only and white-label pressings direct from the record companies. Thus he either interviewed Secret Affair (I don't know) or he was sent this as promotional item from the record company - hence the PR sheet and biography.
Sadly my brother passed away in November 2013, so I am slowly disposing of his extensive record collection.
All vinyl will be sent in special secure mailers with stiffeners.
Thank you.
