This is a vintage US stereo pressing of the fourth studio album by The Doors. The release features a gatefold jacket (housed under the original factory seal) and includes a printed lyric insert as noted on the hype sticker. The back cover displays the original Elektra Records address: 1855 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10023.

"The Soft Parade" remains one of the most unique albums in The Doors' discography due to its departure from their signature psychedelic rock sound toward orchestral arrangements and brass sections.
First Edition Identification: This copy is an authentic early pressing. The primary indicator is the 1855 Broadway address on the back cover; later reissues from the early 1970s changed this to the Columbus Circle address. Additionally, the presence of the original hype sticker with the "Complete Lyrics Enclosed" credit is a hallmark of the first 1969 production run. finding a 1969 original still sealed is becoming increasingly difficult for serious collectors.

Since the album is factory sealed, the labels and matrix runouts cannot be visually verified. However, based on the 1855 Broadway cover address, this copy should contain the original large "E" red Elektra label, which was standard for 1969 releases before the transition to the butterfly label in late 1970.
