SEALED, NEVER-BEEN-OPENED! Genuine, original 1968 pressing of The Monkees' HEAD album (original soundtrack). COLGEMS COSO-5008, Stereo, with reflective foil cover! 12" vinyl LP.
I have had this SEALED Monkees HEAD album since some time in the mid-to-late '80s. I bought it in Houston, TX, from a record store that specialized in collectible records. I am only selling it now because of financial reasons.
NOTE: I have listed this album as "New" because it is NOT Used. It is better described as New-Old-Stock, but eBay's listing tool doesn't have that option! So, it is new, as in never-been-played, or even opened, but the cover does show some shelf wear (read on)...
I am NOT a record expert so I can only describe it the best I can. You can see the cover (front and back) in the numerous photos above. The cover has some shelf wear and record ring wear, after all it is a 46 year old item! I assume the record itself is in Mint, or at hte least near-Mint, because the album has never been opened - it still is factory SEALED.
Wikipedia says this about the "foil cover": The original issue of the record (Colgems #COSO-5008) featured a front cover with a surface of aluminized PET film, meant to reflect the listener's "head" (face) back at them.
