Sealed Original 1981 Audiophile Pressing
This is an original sealed 1981 Mobile Fidelity pressing of Blondes Have More Fun by Rod Stewart (cat # MFSL 1-054). It is as perfect as they come. Mobile Fidelity is famous for using the original master studio tape and transferring it at 1/2 speed to capture every nuance of the recording. The records are specially plated and pressed in Japan by JVC with their highest quality vinyl, a proprietary blend called "supervinyl," which produces maximum clarity, an extra-quiet album and a playing lifespan 5x longer than standard mass-produced vinyl. This copy was purchased at the time of it's release, never opened and carefully stored away. There is a tear in the shrinkwrap along part of the spine (see detailed photo) - but the actual album and cover are 100% mint as you should expect - absolutely pristine!
