*EXTREMELY RARE** POWER POP FROM CHICAGO CIRCA 1989 FROM KEVIN MANTEGNA, THO NOW TODAY WIDELY REGARDED AS THE WORLD'S GREATEST JOHN LENNON IMPERSONATOR, AND MANAGED BY LOUISE HARRISON, SISTER OF GEORGE HARRISON......

Kevin basically began in local Chicago band, The Crickle who took their name by combining fav influences Buddy Holly & The Crickets and The Beatles. His original songwriting was just so strong that he left The Crickle rather quickly and hooked up with Jeff Murphy to produce this lp "Communicate" (his lone solo effort). He then joined forces with Marty Winer and formed local legends, The Critics, who did a cd "Braintree", also overseen by Jeff Murphy. The Critics toured the midwest with the likes of Shoes, Paul Collins Beat and The Elvis Brothers, also becoming Danny Bonaduce's house band when Danny was a #1 DJ in Chicago. When the '90's power pop explosion began to stall out a bit, Kevin joined midwest powerhouse Beatle tribute band, American English. That did not last long tho, as Louise Harrison hand picked Kevin to portray John Lennon in Liverpool Legends, arguably the best Beatle tribute band on the planet, and headquartered in tourist mecca Branson, Missouri since 2006. Liverpool Legends continue to play all over the world, taking the stage pretty much with every original artist still alive that became famous via the british invasion. check out the liverpool legends website--it is absolutely amazing!
