FROM THE ESTATE OF A WORLD-CLASS RECORD COLLECTOR OF THE OLD SCHOOL comes:
YES The Yes Album
SEALED U.S. record LP, Atlantic Records, gatefold cover.
No barcode, and NOT one of those audiophile reissues ["...on 180 gram vinyl"], so we're looking at a 1970's pressing here, folks! There are those tiny breathe holes in the shrink wrap running vertically down the front of the cover, another sign of how old this one is. Not light in weight, either (it tips our postage scale at 12 ounces). 1841 Broadway address for Atlantic Records is printed on the back (but, you may know that Atlantic in many cases failed to update their covers when reissuing albums after their corporate move to Rockefeller Plaza, so we can't definitively state that this SEALED record LP is a first pressing...all we can do is describe it here in detail as best we can).
The record LP is presumed to be in Mint condition as the shrink wrap is intact, still sealed, never opened.
The flat, square cover is graded Excellent (instead of Mint), due to the following minor things:
-- three corners have tiny, discreet tears in the shrink wrap, with a little bit of rubbing to those cover corner points, nothing objectionable;
-- along the lower edge there's a one-inch, very discreet tear in the shrink, with no damage to that exposed edge surface;
-- and, in the upper right of the front, above that vintage "Give the gift of music" sticker, the former owner apparently removed a store price sticker and in so doing removed a circular piece of the shrink about the size of a quarter (FYI, there's no wear to that exposed spot of the cover because this album's been in a plastic outer sleeve for quite a while now!).
A classic record album, still sealed. << Words that warm a vinyl collector's heart.
Makes a great gift, like the sticker reads!
