James Taylor (2) Vocals, Guitar Traditional Written-By James Taylor’s eponymous debut album, released December 6th, 1968 In the UK and February 17th, 1969 in the US.
This album is Taylor’s only album to date to be released on the Apple Label, and one of two studio albums to be recorded internationally, in this case, London, along with part of 1985’s “that’s why I’m here”, which was partially recorded in Montserrat. This album was also the first album released by a non British artist on said Apple Label.
The tracks “Something In The Way She Moves” and “Carolina In My Mind” were re-recorded in 1976 for Taylor’s first “Greatest Hits” album due to rights issues with Apple at the time.
“Carolina In My Mind” features Paul McCartney on bass and an uncredited George Harrison on backing vocals
