Up for auction is the Classic Rock LP "Band On The Run" by Paul McCartney & Wings on Apple Records #SO-3415 from 1973. This is the original Stereo pressing on Apple Records with no barcode from 1973. Purchased in a collection where every title was bought in the late 60's to early 70's. The cello wrap has a tiny tear in the bottom left corner and that corner has a just a very small amount of wear. It has the original hype sticker with a price sticker concealing some of it. This is a real beauty in gorgeous condition. It will be shipped in a sturdy record mailer in a protective plastic sleeve. Band on the Run is the third studio album by the British–American rock band Paul McCartney and Wings, released in December 1973. It was McCartney's fifth album after leaving the Beatles in April 1970. Although sales were modest initially, its commercial performance was aided by two hit singles – "Jet" and "Band on the Run" – such that it became the top-selling studio album of 1974 in the United Kingdom and Australia, in addition to revitalising McCartney's critical standing. It remains McCartney's most successful album and the most celebrated of his post-Beatles works.
