SCOTT WALKER - 'SCOTT 4' - STEREO 180 gm VINYL LP - REISSUE - 4 MEN WITH BEARDS - 4M152 - 2008
Description
A 33 1/3 RPM stereo vinyl LP, 'Scott 4' by Scott Walker
The album was originally released in 1969 ( on Philips). This is a reissue on heavyweight 180 gm vinyl, from 2008 on the '4 Men With Beards' label. This is a San Francisco label specialising in 180 gm re-issues of classic albums.
The original album was released under Scott Walker's birth name of Scott Engel (possibly one reason for its initial lack of success?). Subsequent releases have been as 'Scott Walker' and it has since been acknowledged as one of his best.
Originally recorded at Olympic Studios, London and released in November, 1969, this version was released in February, 2008
All songs were written by Noel Scott Engel
Produced by John Franz, engineered by Keith Grant and Adrian Kerridge.
A 'tip-on' gatefold sleeve (i.e the sleeve design is not printed directly onto the sleeve, but onto thin paper and then pasted to a plain cardboard sleeve). The design is by John Constable. There is a 'moody' photo of Scott Walker on the front and a quote from Albert Camus on the back. Inside is a full track listing with various credits and series of images, relating to the tracks on the album, interspersed with photos of the recording sessions.
A plain, white paper, inner sleeve.
Come with a clear plastic, protective outer sleeve.
'Scott Walker' on both the spine and the labels.
