SCARCE Monkees Michael Blessing Promo 45 Until It’s Time for You to Go 1965 Nesmith COLPIX 45 NM
One of two of Mike Nesmith’s early 45’s under the name, Michael Blessing, released pre-Monkees. This one, released in 1965 is in stunning condition. Rarely if ever, do I use the term Mint, but this one tempts me to violate that principle. The grooves on both sides gleam up at you on this styrene pressing.
Sleeve: Company sleeve is present. COLPIX company sleeves were printed on paper a step above newspaper, and so they are very fragile and subject to aging quickly. This one has slight dulling, but the seams are all intact. I will ship the 45 in a spare generic sleeve in order not to damage the company sleeve.
Vinyl: Beautiful, blinding Near Mint. Pressed by Monarch Records, the machine-stamped “MR” in a circle is present on both sides in the dead wax.
Labels: Nice glossy labels. The plug side has a black “X” in Magic Marker. The Side 2 label has slight foxing. Otherwise, these labels are very nice indeed.
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
