PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE ....Original 1969 first pressing of an obscure acidy folk-popsike creation called the FOOL which really did exist in the late 60's and was produced by none other than Graham Nash, the major force behind both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The group was comprised of Barry Finch, Marijke Koger, Josje Leeger, and the oddly named Simone Posthuma. Hmmm. . . .
The album cover is covered with Tarot imagery and the track we like best is track (No. 3) called "Rainbow Man." We can only assume that the group was referring to the mystical end of Slothrop himself from the fictious book In Gravity's Rainbow and,for this LP, the FOOL were unable to get "Rainbow Cock" past the censors. . . . The Fool produced designs for many top sixties artists. This quartet were extremely accomplished artists as well as being psych/ folk musicians with bagpipes and tambourines. From the people who designed the album cover for the Incredible String Band's The 5,000 Spirits, or the Layers of the Onion, comes the only album that's anywhere near to that Incredible String Bands set's swirling, hypnotic psychedelic weirdness. The Fool doesn't strive for the same deep heavyness as the songs that the ISB's Robin Williamson was writing at the time, but rides the same dense, mystical vibe. ISB fans, and perhaps the acid-folk era of Donovan afficionados, will love this album.
Their work spanned form painting the Apple boutique building in London, to designing several psychedelic album covers, such as the Incredible String Band's "5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion" , the Hollies' "Evolution","The Sgt. Pepper" inner sleeve and Eric Clapton guitar. By god it's in part credit to the mighty ochsfan from rym....

CONDITION: The cover: Elaborate eye-popping visual designed gatefold cover is acceptable VG++ with only a BIT of very light shelf wear just starting......this is one still of the nicer copies found, IF found at all...(having NO delete marks which is a rare feat) otherwise no bends, no writing and no split seams ...retaining the original bright day-glo colors, striking it rich!
The vinyl: all shiny, rated: VG++ few little top syrface hair scuffs is all, nothing deep, nothing to affect play grade over both sides! Both dazzling custom labels are clean
