Description
Blind Joe Hill, Boogie in the Dark (Barrelhouse BH-08) (1976).
Scarce release on collector George Paulus's Barrelhouse label. The first issued recordings by the Akron, Ohio-based one-man band.
Boogie in the Dark/Tin Pan Alley/Hideaway/One Room Country Shack/Manish Boy//She Fool Me/Hey Hey/Sweet Home Chicago/Rock the Night Baby/She Gotta Go
Condition: disc shows no signs of significant wear, and none of damage. (Plays with slight crackle at times, a flaw that is evident, so far as the seller knows, on all copies.) Jacket has the top righthand corner clipped, and the back of the jacket has a small bruise near this point. Wear at top and bottom edges, causing paper tearing for about 3" on the top, and a slit of about 2" on the bottom. Swift Record Distributors sticker on back. Otherwise, some light wear and insignificant creasing. A good playing copy of this scarce and sought-after album.
Please note: the pinkish tinge in the illustration was caused by the light at the time of photographing it; the jacket colour is the normal black-and-white with silver lettering.
