Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE Original 1974 first pressing on the collected P.I.Cosmos label ... one of the important albums by the highly rated Itlaian progressive band OSANNA. These cats had the hard edge undergriound sound with whirling flutes, mellotrons and fierce guitar breaks creating a unique and still sophisticated progressive sound. 

One of the greatest bands in the Italian prog field, Osanna came from Naples Italy, formed in 1971 by the members of I Volti di Pietra and Città Frontale (another band with the same name came from Osanna ashes and recorded El Tor) whose keyboard player Gianni Leone went to Balletto di Bronzo.

On this album, the band matured quite a bit. Where on "L'Uomo", it was a combination of hard rock, blues, jazz, folk, and prog, on this album, they were able to combine those styles in a more mature and progressive framework. And this time, it's a soundtrack to a film. The band incorporates Luis Enriquez Bacalov (who was previously responsible for NEW TROLLS' "Concerto Grosso Per 1" and later IL ROVESCIO DELLA MEDAGLIA's "Contaminazione").

The album starts off with a bizarre sounding ARP 2600 synthesizer. There is some classical piano, the sophisticated atmospheric backing, then the band kicks in to a mindblowing jam. "Theme" is a more mellow, and pleasant piece, dominated by piano, backing arrangement, and ARP 2600 synthesizer. Then the album goes through several pieces entitled "Variation". These movements goes through many different moods and changes. The second movement is also called "My Mind Flies". This is one of only two cuts with vocals. The band chose to sing in English and it's stuffed with lots of bizarre, atmospheric mixes including acoustic overlays, with their great whirling flute they are so known for, and more great loud, aggressive jams. The last piece, "There Will Be Time". This is not a particularly progressive piece. This is the album's only other vocal track, and it's a pretty straightforward song, as seemed to be the common occurance on many Italian prog albums.

CONDITION: The cover: Solid all over with a little light wear (around the edges, but only lightly) and still remains a collection worthy VG+(+) rarity. Bright original colors, no split seams, no writing...  

The vinyl: very clean over both sides, "EX" (excellent) to M- top copy that plays incredibly nice. Both P.I. Cosmos labels are clean 

keeper!
