Description
This is from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1961 First year pressing of Uk Columbia 1st pale Blue & Silver labels SAX 2513 of the choral finale from Beethoven Choral Symphony & Wagner: Die Meistersinger, Prelude
Tristan und Isolde, Prelude & Liebestod, from George Szell and the Cleveland Orch. 1st type Big stereo corner flipback sleeve and the original company inner is present, although it will be cleaned with a wash and vacuum machine & given an antistatic inner for postage, plus a heavy poly outer, in a custom made double thickness corrugated box. This is Near Mint with no marks to the playing surfaces, clean labels (shown in pics) and the sleeve is Excellent, timings to rear only. Note that the last pair of these went for well over £1100, actually $1935 last week (and more before that!), item number 110647314016 . This means that if you can secure this for less than £450ish and have the patience picking up the other, you will have a bargain for this very highly regarded set.
