Description
COLUMBIA SAX 2473 (semicircle label) MAHLER SYMPHONY No.2 OTTO KLEMPERER with THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA AND CHORUS ELISABETH SCHWARZKOPF HILDE ROSSL-MAJDAN
The sleeve is bumped at the corners and has wear at the edges. Under a light, some marks and dints are visible, along with the disc imprint. There is a line of white damage marks about half-inch from bottom. The spine is very good with complete and clear lettering. The rear has some pencil writing on it about two inches from the bottom. The inner sleeve, which I think is the original, is creased and discoloured at the corners. The disc has some marks and wear, but I can see no serious defects. However, I am unable to play-test the record, so, if you bid successfully for the item and are then unhappy with my description, I will organise a no-quibble refund.
Please note that we have, as separate items ,in auction this week SAX 2473 (red semicircle label) and SAX 2474 (silver/blue label). They came to us as a pair from the same source, but obviously it is not a proper set.
