SAX 2470-2 B/S – JUILLIARD STRING QUARTET: MOZART
Columbia stereo recording. Boxed set of 3 records with blue/silver labels catalogue numbers SAX 2470/1/2 (SMS 1016). The Juilliard String Quartet playing Mozart’s 6 "Haydn" Ouartets: Nos. K387, K421, K428, K458, K464 & K465.
4 of the 6 sides have no visible marks and we have not played these. Side 1 of disc 2470 has a barely visible inaudible hairline mark. Side 1 of disc 2471 has several light but noticeable marks. We have listened VERY carefully to the whole side and can detect only 10 light ticks during Track 1. The box is intact and clean but the thin black paper covering has split at the corners and for approx. 3cm on the rear. On the front top right corner a faint red ink cross is visible.
