Description
Please Read Full Listing Before Purchase - Thanks.
Please note: I have opened this new account to sell off some of my own personal collection that i have collected over the years, I have decided to thin out my own collection so will be offering some of them over the coming months.
I have collected records of many genres for 30+ years - please buy with confidence and see my business account dezcorp02 where i have 1500+ positive feedback, The record has been test played and a detailed playback description is given below.
On offer is The LP Brahms Double Concerto tragic overture - Oistrakh and Fournier - Galliera with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Stereophonic Pressing on the Columbia Records Label - Sax 2264.
Vinyl - VG- : At first glance the record looks to be in Excellent condition, The Surfaces look excellent and little played and it retains a lovely sheen, However on very close inspection Side 1 has 2 x small 1cm marks/scratches, one is approx half way and the other 3/4 the way through the side, the 1st scratch causes a loud click that lasts approx 1 minute, the second scratch causes a lighter but still audible click that lasts for about 40 secs or so.Side 2 plays excellent overall with 5 or 6 clicks heard and some occasional small ticks heard.
I have found over the years that clicks and crackle is common on these older pressings even when the playing surfaces look excellent.
Please bear in mind the flaws described before bidding, Normally I would not offer a record with these flaws but have decided as it's so rare a record that someone may still appreciate having it in their collection as it is.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Sleeve - Ex - Provided in the Original Sleeve as pictured which has some very slight age related wear though nothing major as can be seen in the pics.
Please note: A mid range technics turntable was used to play test the Record - Playback Results may vary on Inferior or Superior quality playback equipment.
Please only bid if you intend to buy - non paying bidders will be reported to e-bay, please contact within 24 hours of the auction end.
