MOUSSORGSKY/orchestrated RAVEL PictureS at an Exhibition vinyl LP on COLUMBIA SAX 2261 UK STEREO Rare 1960's pressing
I have acquired a large classical collection of wonderful recordings from a very keen and dedicated collector.
They are all mostly from the late 50s to mid 60s - Something of a Golden Age in Classical recordingAll records are inspected very carefully and
Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.
I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

First Edition pressing on COLUMBIA Turquoise and Silver label
Side 1 Disc is visually Excellent and audibly Excellent with just the occasional very faint ‘tic” and very faint crackles in the quietest passages
Side 2 Disc is visually Excellent and audibly Excellent
with just the occasional faint "tic" and 1 light pop for 1 revolution towards the end of the band
Sleeve is Excellent complete with Original EMI Columbia inner Sleeve
In 1874 Moussorgsky completed 10 musical sketches for Piano prompted by a posthumous exhibition of paintings by his friend
Victor Hartman- In 1923 Ravel added orchestral colouring to create the accepted masterpiece we know so well today
A rare and regarded recording complimented by an evocative laminated sleeve design .
