Description
SAVOY BROWN
Shake Down
(Decca LK 4883)
Here’s a solid first mono pressing of this classy British blues LP, featuring some early axemanship from the great Martin Stone, including his own heavy instrumental showcase, ‘The Dormouse Rides The Rails’.
COVER?
The front-laminated single sleeve is in VG shape, with some creasing, ringwear and minor (white on white) paper loss to the top right of the rear. Still looks good, though.
VINYL
The disc is in VG+ shape (some might say a little better), glossy but with minor marks and hairlines under light. It plays beautifully, with barely any noise. The side 1 label has the letter J written on it in fountain pen (see picture). This might be removable, but I’m not going to try. Comes in its original inner sleeve.
The above description is honest and accurate. If you have questions or reservations, please communicate them during the auction, not after winning!
