1st UK press matrices:  according to the matrices this copy is one of the very first issued . This is a keeper condition copy. If you need this album, this is the ultimate copy to go for as a reference copy. Be aware that this is an original as is evident from the side B matrices where the third character is a "J" not an "I"!! Through some research I know that there are fakes around which have matrices that are etched and just read TRIX on both sides. This copy is a 100% genuine item!!

  One of the very first picture discs (if not the very first) released in 1971.  Magical Love by Saturnalia is a folk/psych/prog mixture. Produced by Keith Relf (ex Yardbird- Renaissance) in EX condition. Group members were  Aletta, Adrian Hawkins, Rod Roach, Richard Houghton and Tom Compton. This is ULTRA RARE!!!! 

The 'holographic lenticular' record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASN'T BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2  VERY light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO nasty loud pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, though of course (like all early picture discs) it has some minor background sound / crackle in places (exactly as manufactured!)!!! At the time some customers complained about this fact and were presented with a normal black vinyl at no extra cost. I have not ever come across this yet. Bearing this small fact in mind the sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! 

In the last 10 years I have only come across 1 copy of this great Saturnalia album which in my opinion is the pinnacle of musicianship in the early seventies and probably would have been  a super prog band given the right promotion. This reminds of the Comus stunner for example or also Forest's Full Circle mixed with some Jefferson Airplane. Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks,  NO crackle and static can at times only be heard at quieter passages (there are not too many!!) and in the silent grooves between the tracks. This is really a stunning SUPER heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl has not been played much !!!  A definite EX+!!!  There are only 2 wispy hairlines, not visible in the normal daylight, totally inaudible on replay. Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great prog collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

VINYL: EX.  A fantastic upgrade. This is a seriously desirable ORIGINAL album and very rare in this great condition!!! For all my regulars in Italy, Russia, Japan and the States, you know who you are, it does not get much better than this. This is nowadays golddust and very hard indeed to still find as an original!!! Beware of later represses that do NOT have the holographic centers. These are sometimes passed off as originals.

 The LP comes in its original hard poly sleeve as per picture.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX+ (the vinyl) CONDITION!!! It is indeed very late in the day for this stunner!!!!!
