Description

PABLO DE SARASATE : Zigeunerweisen parts  1 and 2.
played by the composer.
Recorded in Paris 1904. Matrices 4263 o and 4264 o.
These briliant performances were originally issued on G&T 37930 and 37935. The 2 beautiful single-sided vinyl 78s offered here were pressed during the 1970s from the original metal masters. When such vinyl pressings are played with the correct stylus, they play with a clean and quiet surface and will sound better than original G&T pressings. Condition: Excellent.

I have worked in the field of audio restoration for over 30 years and have produced more than 500 commercial LP and CD reissues. Many of the records in my personal collection have found their way on to CD reissues and now, I feel it is time to begin letting some of them go.

I have been collecting and enjoying records for most of my life and I know the importance of proper grading. I have tried to evaluate the records accurately, especially how they sound when played. I will be offering just a few choice items at a time, so please be patient and continue to watch for my listings. I am extremely keen that my records find happy homes where they will be appreciated and cared for.
