EXTREMELY RARE UNRELEASED DISC JOCKY ONLY SOUNDTRACK FROM THE ICONIC TELEVISION SPECIAL “SANTA CLAUSE IS COMIN’ TO TOWN” WITH FRED ASTAIRE, MICKEY ROONEY, AND KEENAN WYNN

This unreleased soundtrack version was issued only to radio stations for air play prior to the show’s first broadcast. The marketing strategy was intended to familiarize the public with the show’s songs and build anticipation for the (as yet) unseen special. A second version was produced for wider distribution at the time of broadcast to cash in on the Christmas shopping public (please see photos for a look at the more common version)
Rankin/Bass had a promotional recording pressed of Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town with cover art by Paul Coker, Jr. The commercially released version appeared on MGM’s record label -cartoon research.com-
