Sånger Om Kvinnor (Songs About Women) is a music album released on the record company MNW in 1971. It was a collective project among members of Group 8 with the purpose of releasing a record of songs about women's terms and everyday lives.

The project started as a play, Tjejsnack , written by Suzanne Osten and Margareta Garpe for Stockholm City Theatre . The play was touring around youth houses in the suburbs of Stockholm. The record company MNW wanted to make an entire album, but the songs from Tjejsnack would not be enough. In total, three songs from Tjejsnack were included: "Det var en gång en kille som ville", "Du kan bli på smällen" and "Vi måste höja våra röster" but for the remaining tracks several other songwriters were used , including the poet Sonja Åkesson, Louise Waldén and Leif Nylén. The ambition of the record was to portray women's death in the 1970s Sweden and the text content ranges from being personal to pronounced political.

A large number of women also sang on the record, including the drama actor Ulla Sjöblom and Marie Selander. However, the music was written by men, in most cases Gunnar Edander. All the musicians who participated in the record were also men, gathered from groups like Blå tåget and Gläns över sjö & strand. Gunilla Thorgren, who worked at MNW at that time, was dissatisfied with this and considered that it should be possible to make a women's disc with only women, while Suzanne Ost said that female composers and musicians have not been able to be found.

The album was awarded with a Grammis in 1972 . The cover was designed by Gittan Jönsson .
