SAMANTHA JONES

A GIRL NAMED SAM

PENNY FARTHING PELS 501

RARE U.K. VINYL!

A scarce opportunity to bid for this rare album by Samantha Jones, an artist whose songs have been

popular on the Northern Soul scene! Bought in a local charity shop, it is in great condition! See below

for more details.

Sleeve: Thick card with the laminated front cover showing a colour photo of Samantha Jones' face and bare shoulders,

against a green background. The album title is in stylised white text across her hair, with her name in brown lowercase

text along the bottom. The front cover folds over onto the back on three sides, with the remainder of the back face

unlaminated. There is a small black-and-white, framed, elliptical photo, centre-left, showing a man holding a woman*.

The album title, top-left, is in black stylised text, with the artist name in black lowercase letters under the photo and track

listing in two columns beneath. The catalogue number is shown, top-right, with notes by Larry Page below. Album credits

and the record label logo and address are shown, bottom-right. The sleeve is in exception condition for 43 years of age!

It is intact with no tears or repairs and the laminate is unbroken! There are a number of short crease-blisters by the spine

edge on the front and a couple of similar marks to the right of the image. There is a very small area of wear on the top edge,

near the top-right corner, and the two bottom corners have some wear, but only at the extremities! The open edges only

show minimal wear! When the cover is held to the light, it's possible to see that it has been used as a rest for someone

when they were writing, as there are indentations of letters/words in places. The back cover has four blue biro marks

by a number of the tracks and what looks like '29/11' and/or '39/11' appear faintly a few times on the right-hand side. I

think this is, again, a case of some using the back cover as a rest when they were writing, possibly pre-decimal prices!

*I think the photo shows Simon Dee with Samantha Jones. See photo credit below.

Inner Sleeve: White, slightly shaped, die-cut, poly-lined paper, which is intact and unmarked, apart from a 'PLASTIC BAGS

CAN BE DANGEROUS' warning in blue at the bottom on one side and a small area of blue biro scribble on the same side!

Matrix Numbers: Side 1 - PELS 501 1Y#1 followed by an inverted triangle 420 1 1 3

Side 2 - PELS 501 2Y#1 followed by an inverted triangle 420 1 1

Vinyl: Clean and shiny with no major visible faults! Plays back with no major faults at normal volume! Superb!

Labels: Both are intact and unmarked, apart from a small spindle mark close to the hole on Side 1!

2. Until Tomorrow (M. Wirtz - K. Ife)

See below for details of postage costs for this item.

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.

I have been collecting for more than 30 years, so check back regularly to see what other gems I may have unearthed - they won't be listed in any particular order! My

recent absence from eBay has been because of work commitments but, as they seem to have dried up, I will be spending more time disposing of my collection!

I am not a dealer, so won't use traditional grading terms but, instead, will describe each item as carefully and honestly as I can with text and photos. Bidders are then free

to form their own opinions. Any apparent marks showing in the photos are reflections or dust, etc., unless otherwise specifically identified. If in doubt, please contact me

with any queries before bidding and I will get back to you promptly with an answer. I will also keep you informed throughout the whole eBay process.

All vinyl will be packaged in sturdy cardboard mailers with at least one stiffener and will be despatched within 2 working days of payment being received. PayPal is preferred,

but please contact me before bidding to discuss alternative, acceptable methods. Postage rates: UK Standard - 2nd Class £3.10, Europe/R.O.T.W - AirMail Standard

£7.00/£11.50.

Please note that I do not combine postage. All items are packaged and sent individually, so as to minimise damage and/or loss.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
