SAM RIVERS: "A NEW CONCEPTION" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #84249. Rare vintage jazz Lp! Stereo pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the NEW YORK USA address on both sides. VAN GELDER stamped in the trail-off on both sides (no ear). Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover. The personnel: Sam Rivers/tenor sax, soprano sax & flute; Hal Galper/piano; Herbert Lewis/bass; Steve Ellington/drums. The vinyl is in NM condition (beautiful sheen)!! The thick (Liberty) cover is in excellent shape, still protected by the cellophane shrink wrap, displays wonderfully!! No seam splits, no cut-out marks, no writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York, N.Y. 10023. The songs are: When I Fall In Love; I'll Never Smile Again; Detour Ahead; That's All; What A Difference A Day Makes; Temptation; Secret Love.
