GRADING SYSTEM OTHER NOTESEASTERN EUROPEAN RECORDS INFO
Because of the poor quality vinyl or simply inferior pressing some of the Eastern European records play with some noise even if visually in mint condition. The only exceptions are Hungarian, majority of Czech (Czechoslovakian) and East German records. Quality of the vinyl and pressing in rest of the Eastern Europe began to improve in the seventies, getting very good eventually. Generally however, one can expect some inherent light noise on some records pressed in the sixties and early seventies.Since most of the covers were made out of flimsy paper or cardboard, even the brand new ones (right from a store shelf) had some beginning ring wear. Again, the only exceptions were Hungarian and Czech records.
Most of Eastern European and Cuban records sold in Poland had the price stamped on the back of the cover and occasionally on labels. So small rubber stamp is rather the rule than the exception. Some marked down Polish records, had the new price stamped on back or front cover and quite often the price was hand written on the cover and labels.
