SALEM MASS 'Witch Burning' LP (Spain, Guerssen Records, Catalogue #GUESS126) Brand new/unplayed copy of Guerssen Records edition of RARE 1971 RURAL, DOOMY HARD ROCK LP out of Idaho by Salem Mass. In addition to the standard guitar/bass/drums/vocals instrument lineup, Salem Mass sets themselves apart with the additional and most unusual use of MOOG synthesizer in their songs. INSANE MOOG ACTION! (some VERY jarring interjections, most especially on the unbelievable, proto-Sad Wings Of Destiny era Judas Priest style track "You Can't Run My Life," featuring some remarkable vocal wailing that prefigures Robert Halford's similar moves on his band's immortal classic "Victim Of Changes" by half a decade.) Proto-Doom Metal moves (and more crazy Moog action) on their epic opening title track as well.
