DUPARC - MÉLODIES
Featuring GÉRARD SOUZAY (baritone) & DALTON BALDWIN (piano)
This is another rare item - like the other Souzay/Baldwin/Schubert set that I'm selling.
I bought this from a sound engineer, amongst his large collection of test pressings that he'd worked on. This has not got a Factory Sample sticker but was issued to him along with the other samples and test pressings ahead of release.
What makes this rarer is that it is in a pre-production sleeve, made up from the boards that would be used for the final lp set. It is constructed differently to what would become the paste on back of the official release.
Unlike the Schubert set, this does have writing on the spine.
