Early ZickZack classic. eBay prices: £25 + $43. This is the brilliant first 7“ by SAAL 2 from Germany. You are bidding on the original first pressing, released on famous DIY punk / Synth punk / Minimal punk label ‘ZickZack’ records in 1980 (catalogue number ZZ 5). All 4 tracks were co-produced by GEISTERFAHRER member Matthias Schuster. You can hear the following crackers: ‘Angst Vorm Tanzen’ / ’Beschäftigung Maskulin’ / ’Ich Liebe Donald Duck’ and ’Die Internationale’. On the top of this I am including an old review from famous music magazine SOUNDS, taken from August 1980: "Saal 2 ist eine dreiköpfige Gruppe aus Hamburg, die aus der legendären Untergrund-Combo Quer hervorgegangen ist. Ihre Debüt-Ep (ZickZack) hat mir äußerst gut gefallen, sie ist vielseitig und voller Überraschungen, bringt ein tolles Tanzstück ('Angst vorm Tanzen'), eine Neuinterpretation der 'Internationalen', die den Geist der Residents in sich trägt, sowie zwei weitere Stücke, alle auch mit netten (selbstverständlich deutschen) Texten. Außer für die Residents scheint Saal 2 auch noch eine gewisse Vorliebe für Barry Andrews (XTC, Iggy Pop, Robert Fripp) zu haben, was aber nichts am durchweg guten Eindruck ändert, den diese EP auf mich gemacht hat. Sollten sich nicht nur Freunde der Avantgarde anhören!" (Ewald Braunsteiner, Sounds Nr.8/80).

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
