Description
Ryan Adams' first record with the band Patty Duke Syndrome. These are rare and if you search the web you'll see them for sale for $400 and more. Released in 1994, this is a split single with Glamourpuss and it includes the Glamourpuss comb. This has been stored in a box for the past 10-years. It has slight wear on the corners of the jacket but is otherwise in perfect condition. I have multiple copies and this copy has never been played. The vinyl is in mint condition. It is pressed on transparent yellow vinyl. I have one copy on black vinyl and multiples on yellow, so it appears they were pressed on at least two vinyl colors.
Note: International shipping will be available for Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and the UK but it must be shipped via Express Mail, UPS, or FedEx with tracking and insurance. I will charge the actual shipping costs plus $2 for packaging. Keep in mind this will probably add as much as $50 to the total cost. I will not ship to countries other than those listed above.
MORE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON THIS SINGLE
From http://www.ibiblio.org
The members of Patty Duke Syndrome came from utterly different circumstances--drummer Brian Walsby from the hectic West Coast punk scene, singer/guitarist Ryan Adams and bassist Jere McIlwean from the rural splendor of downstate NC--and the resulting music documented the tension between those two worlds in every note. During their short existence, they broke up at least a half-dozen times, but while they were together, they recorded some of the tightest postpunk around. Thanks to both the interpersonal tension and the music, it's easy and tempting to raise the specter of Husker Du -- but the songs never dive into the depths of anguish that Bob Mould always seemed to be in. Patty Duke Syndrome are no more, but the members are still around, check em out.
