Description
This is a copy of 'Chicken Skin Music' by Ry Cooder, released by the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL / Mofi) circa 2017.
I bought this a few months ago but it is not wholly to my taste, so I have elected to sell it as it is surplus to requirements.
The record proper is in excellent condition. I looked at it under very bright light from a mobile phone, which reveals some very light surface wear, possibly there from factory, as they are pretty uniform, or more likely from slipping into the sleeve. This surface wear is not otherwise visible to the naked eye and does not seem to affect play at all. The only normally visible scratch is on side 2, I believe on the start of the second track, which causes a pop/loud tick for a few revolutions, but this was the only pop I could hear on either side. There are also some very low volume pop/crackles on the lead-in grooves and possibly on the gaps between songs, but this does not affect the musical content proper, and the record otherwise plays very quietly, even in quiet sections. I hope this rudimentary play-grade is helpful.
The gatefold has a seam split and wear especially on the spine. I have tried to picture this as best as possible but may have missed a few points. The cover of this record isn't in brilliant shape is the overall assessment but there are no egregious tears apart from the split pictured on the back of the gatefold.
