Lucky Lips/My Heart Is Breaking Over You; Ruth Brown; Columbia 45-DB 3913; 45 RPM; UK pressing.  As I said about the Five Keys and Buddy Knox British records in my auction this week, this, to a British collector, is the "original" release.  Though Brown had seven records to hit the Hot 100 in the US, NONE of her singles ever charted in England.  As it did not sell well upon release, it has become extremely rare in the UK . . . to the tune of around 350 British pounds for a mint copy! 

Sadly, this copy is in only Good condition.  The centre has been removed, as is often the case with British 45s that found their way to the United States.  The A-side label has been stamped "Property of (unreadable) Motion Picture Studio."  The label has gold print with a mauve label.  Although the record has seen better days, I am placing a reserve on it, due to its rarity.  Sorry that the photograph is not the best, but I did try, unsuccessfully, to brighten it so that you could read the label.  Light gold print on a mauve label is hard to read.
