Description
Rush's first single released by SRO on its own label prior to Rush's first major label deal outside of Canada. Generally considered to be the rarest Rush record collectable in existence.
The first studio recording of the group made available to the public, it features the cover 'Not Fade Away' (Petty/Hardin) and the self-penned 'You Can't Fight It' (Lee/Rutsey). Neither track made it onto any Rush album, not even the Moon release of the eponymous long player the following year.
Condition:
Record – No discernable scratches on the vinyl and no marks or damage to the inlay surrounding the spindle hole on either side.
Sleeve – Very scruffy but as it is made from a piece of thin plain paper, it really doesn't contribute to the value of this item. I assume it is the original, but one piece of paper sleeve probably looks very much like any other! If I were going to put it in a nice case for display, which is where it really belongs, then I certainly wouldn't include the plain paper sleeve regardless of condition.
